Werdegang / Ausbildung:
Born and raised in a tiny village, I escaped from Jeetze to Berlin in my early 20th. Moving to this wild city meant growing another time, or rather blooming. Since my childhood I drew things of my surrounding that fascinated me by their clear aesthetics, which were basically cars and gardens. Whereas the one is characterized by straight lines the other one becomes beautiful through its natural chaos. This passion went on for a while and since my early days in Berlin I followed it by visiting life drawing classes, that was my inspiration to start experimenting with different materials using it to catch the shape of other people on paper. Berlin for the first time in my life made me see various exhibitions from/about artists of which Heinz Hajek-Halke and Olafur Eliasson stuck in my mind since I saw their works for the first time - and many others. This extend of artists shown in a huge variety of locations impressed me several times in several ways.
Besides this steady input of art from all the galleries and museums I started studying Medicine. During the little time that was left I started drawing anatomic structures for studying reasons. When I finished university, suddenly my desire for using my own hands to be creative rose a lot. Once in a while I use my art to release experiences and impressions of my daily job that I am working in now, to reach my hands out to another world, another focus. Which was left after trying colours and materials to paint, was ink and paper.
