Werdegang / Ausbildung:
Mekong River Monsters was founded in 2015 by its core members, Wang Ping-Hsiang and Marina Prados. They first worked together during the Venice Biennale and further collaborated in the Southeastern Asian trilogy “Mekong River Monsters,” from which they named their company. In 2016, Mekong River Monsters was invited to artist residencies at Rupert in Vilnius and Spring Workshop in Hong Kong.

Mekong River Monsters create original productions which aim to bring their research-based practice into their stage craft. They work collectively and consider each of the members as a researcher, author, and performer. The resulting works of theatre provide the audience with various channels of storytelling, creative stage language, and innovative views of our contemporary world. Their work combines theatre, video, poetry, live performance, and installation, and mainly is presented in site-specific venues.
