The worldwide unique young art festival of 48 Stunden Neukölln, JUNGE KUNST NK takes place for the fourth time as a festival in the festival in 2017.
“There is a crack, a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.“
- Leonard Cohen
YOUNG ARTS /JUNGE KUNST NK wants to bring light into dark corners: tell us what light means to you!
What exactly is light? Everything that you can see is visible because light falls on it. Light illuminates our surroundings so you can see.
Light is something that most of us take for granted; it's simply always there. Can you imagine a world without light?
Whether light comes from the sun, or the moon or a fluorescent lamp, providing cold or warm or bright light – light makes plants grow, warms us and makes water sparkle at night.
It is the source of all living things and, for a number of reasons, a positive force for human beings in contrast to shadows, which the light chases away.
What would the Jedi have done without lightsabers?
Have you ever said that you've suddenly “seen the light”??
Does light have a colour?
Sometimes photography is referred to as painting with light: what other kinds of artistic expression exist using light? Paint, draw, take photographs and let your imagination go wild – shoare your idea of what light is with us! There are countless things to discover in the dark, or to dream up. Direct or illuminate your idea to shed light on any number of aspects of this wide-ranging theme...
Spot On – Show us what you want to shine a light on! We're looking forward to your input!
Deadline March 10, 2017
