Werdegang / Ausbildung:
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1989, Angeles Jacobi completed a Bachelor in Visual Arts in 2017. She went on to obtain a Masters in New Media at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin in 2019. Angeles Jacobi has exhibited consistently for the past years, both nationally and internationally.

Her work is a constant search for the best way to interpret the ideas she has about herself and the contemporary world. Such as compound words, her art can be seen as a game: a series of objects are carefully selected, each of these objects has its particular symbolism, but when put together, a new contemporary symbology arises. Many traditional methods can be seen in her work; embroidery, casting, and assemblage, but she also chooses to combine these traditional mediums with new media technologies.

Her work creates a dialogue between the conventional and the contemporary, the old and the new, questioning the disappearance and replacement of objects to define the world that we live in today and what it consists of. Nevertheless, she does not limit herself to one medium, style, or concept. Inspiration and ideas change. Knowledge changes: each piece she creates is simultaneously an extension of her past and a preview of her future.
