Werdegang / Ausbildung:
I'm José Luis Perdigón, composer and violinist born in Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands (Spain).
After finishing my violin studies, I moved to Berlin, where I studied composition with Manolis Vlitakis,
Mathias Hinke and Elena Mendoza. I've also received lessons from other composers, such as Francesco
Filidei, Oscar Bianchi, Milena Perisic, Pierluigi Billone and Clara Iannotta; and participated in various
workshops and festivals such as the 7th Edition Modern Barcelona Composition Course, Impuls
Academy, Mixtur Festival, Ensems Festival or the II Ibercaja de Música Cycle. As a critic, I assiduously
collaborate with the online magazine 'Cultural Resuena' as well as the popular podcast series 'Historia en
Vibración'.
Wichtige Projekte / Ausstellungen:
This year I was awarded the XIX International Joan Guinjoan Prize for Young Composers 2021 and my
music was premiered, among others, by Brandemburguisches Staatsorchester, Sonar Quartet, Bcn216
Ensemble, Sonido Extremo, Kebyart Ensemble, Ensemble Unruhe, Trio Abstrakt, Schallfeld Ensemble
and the Vertixe Sonora Ensemble. In my works I experiment with different posibilities of sound narration,
as well as extreme contrasts, new acoustic spaces, pure performance, common speech and trash culture.
