Werdegang / Ausbildung: 
Sina Niemeyer is a visual lens-based artist from Germany. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography.
Her work revolves around intimacy, human relationships and femininity. In 2018 she was selected as one of the most promising newcomers in German photography. The year after she was nominated for the C/O Berlin Talent Award in two consecutive years.
Sina's project 'IGNOSCENTIA' about child sexual abuse has been awarded and shown widely internationally and was published as a monography in 2018 by Ceiba Editions. Her latest project 'The many wives of Mr. Lippka' about arranged marriages between Filipinas and men from the USA and Europe was supported by the follow up grant by Freundeskreis für Fotografie Deichtorhallen in Hamburg and received one of two honorable mentions at FotoEvidence W Award. For her next project about femicides she received the VG Bildkunst grant.
Moreover, Sina regularly works for German magazines and NGOs. She is based in Berlin.
