Yunus Can Ersoy
Yunus Can Ersoy (Switzerland/Turkey, 1990) is a performer, director and dramaturg. After completing its BA in German language and literature, general history, and comparative literature at the University of Zurich and Freie Universität Berlin, it now does its MA at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen, Germany and works in the collective Mora Vegesture. After a dramaturgy and communications internship at Gorki Studio Я, it currently works as dramaturgy assistant at Maxim Gorki Theater, Berlin.
Important projects / Exhibitions:
Before showing „To Kiss One Bite” with its collective Mora Vegesture in Gießen and Frankfurt a.M. (collective direction, Theatermaschine and Mousonturm) and „The Most Amazing Stories Of A Daughter” (dir. Camila Rhodi, Theatermaschine; FACT-Festival, Budapest), it was part of choruses in „Antigone” (dir. Stefan Pucher, Schauspielhaus Zürich), „Love, No Love” and „Bühne frei für Mick Levcik!” (both dir. René Pollesch, Schauspielhaus Zürich). It has co-organized the festival „DISKURS 2018”, and hosted a reading at Kaufleuten, Zürich as well as critique talks at Theatermaschine in Gießen. Pieces composed, directed, and managed by it have been shown at Theater Rigiblick, Zurich.
