48 Stunden Neukölln is an art festival and a platform for Berlin's independent art scene. From June 24-26, Neukölln will once again be transformed into an artistic experimental field for 48 hours. With more than 230 projects at over 180 locations, there is everything for every visitor, from performances, visual art, music and participatory projects. Our project spaces in Neukölln will open their doors again and invite you to get to know them. The programme is free of charge.
48 Stunden Neukölln is this year themed after a Turkish phrase: "Kafayı yemek / I eat my head". It describes a reaction to a dramatic moment that can be expressed in both negative and positive ways. More info on the topic can be found here at downloads.

Festival time & place
The festival starts on June 24.at 7 pm and has a continuous program until June 26. at 7 pm. The programme takes place at 180 locations in Neukölln.
The program is free of charge. You can discover over 180 festival locations for 48 hours. That's a lot, so here's a little explanation. There is a curated festival program, which features art projects related to this year's festival theme - those are marked as festival contributions.
In addition, there is our open programme, where Neukölln art venues invite you to get to know them. In our ONLINE PROGRAMME you can filter programme points according to times or art categories and mark them on a list that you like. There are also programme recommendations from the team on small cards to get you started.
The 48hNK team has curated three program modules: Art Space Labs, Signals, and a Group Exhibition (Kesselhaus).
Accessibility / Inclusion
Many venues offer barrier-free access. If you click on the individual location in the program, you will see if access is accessible. Please consult our programme map as for an overview as well.
At three info points in Neukölln you can find information about the festival. Here you can pick up a festival map and there will be helpers on site who can recommend programme points to you. As a new team, we are also happy about any kind of feedback that you can leave at the Infopoints. :)
- Infopoint 1: Hermannplatz
- Infopoint 2: Richardstraße/Jan-Hus-Weg
- Infopoint 3: Herrfurthplatz
When can I visit the info points?
The mediation program invites to experience a variety of festival contributions and the diversity of Neukölln through public and dialogical walks. Starting from the three info points at Richardstraße/Jan-Hus-Weg, Herrfurthplatz and Hermannplatz, the 120-minute tours offer an overview of works in public space (Signals), interventions in hidden corners and exhibitions in prominent institutions. Moderated by art mediators in different languages, selected aspects of the diverse festival program will be highlighted.
Awareness / Security
Awareness means nothing else than being attentive to the limits and needs of a person but also respecting those of others. Here, not only sexism and sexual assault violate boundaries, but of course also racism, ableism, trans- and homophobia.
The awareness team will be available during the festival opening hours. There will be more information at the info points.
