Allotments are a trademark of Berlin. No other major city has such a diverse range of gardens in the city centre. Green oases of peace and relaxation in a concrete city. Urban silence? But for whom are allotments a cultural, ecological and social resource? And who is/was shaping the allotment garden culture? We want to make our utopia of allotment life an immersive and performative experience for everyone. To do this we will be performing in a garden for 48 hours: Counting gnomes, styling hedges, splashing in the pool, barbecuing vegan sausages and making jam from giant courgettes. Come and eat, drink lemonade and tea, splash around, move a garden gnome if you dare. A staged get-together, just as we want the allotment culture to be. Urban silence for all!

Biography

Kuh-Tip: Mina Henriette Binder, Mariella-Paula Mayer + Irma Melina Abraka Trommer

We are Kuh-Tip, an interdisciplinary Finta* collective. In joint projects we deal with synergies and consumer behaviour, listen to beds, wire trees, explore the cyborg existence, crochet and crochet our way through big and small, personal and impersonal crises. Our work focuses on performative, audio-visually orientated arts.
