Prachtwerk will display a collection of works by Annelisa Leinbach revolving around the soundscapes of the urban environment. Taking her portable easel out into the streets and parks of Berlin, Annelisa spends time in silent meditation while painting the environment, absorbing the sounds of birds, traffic, and pedestrians. Many of these paintings were painted from life directly on the streets of Berlin, and in some cases transferred from sketches into a larger format. The result is a collection of pieces that help viewers appreciate the mystery that emerges from their everyday surroundings in Berlin.
