Ashes We Carry Like Seeds
Luïza Luz
29 June 2025 17:00–18:00
In "Ashes We Carry Like Seeds" (2025), Luïza Luz activates their installation Flourish & Collapse through a ceremony that weaves voice and gesture into an embodied ritual. Set within an ecosystem of soil, decaying plants, sculptures, and paintings, the work reflects on cycles of transformation personal, political, and planetary.
At the center, a soft grounding surface invites stillness and presence, opening a sensorial field for shared listening. Ashes are not just remains—they are reminders. What has been burned is not gone; it returns underground, feeding what insists on growing.
A gesture toward continuity amidst destruction. Part spell, part protest, part love letter to what refuses to die. A study in endings that open spaces for blooming.
