FROM THE GROUND OF FACTS
A multimedia offering
Once again, the floor of the Nikodemus Church will be covered with paper, inviting visitors to freely express their ideas through drawing. From spontaneous thoughts, evolving patterns, experiments, and doodles, a colorful tapestry of possibilities emerges, growing and sprawling on the gray paper as a collective artwork that includes examples from even the most distant perceptions and imaginative worlds.
This project, which unfolds over the entire 48 Hours Neukölln event, is framed and inspired by an exhibition, performances, and music.
Exhibition & Performance by Judith Boy
The freelance artist Judith Boy presents her art project depicting the ten biblical plagues, translating them into our contemporary context. Supported by her partner and colleague, photographer Cataldo Miserendino, they are staged in a colorful and modern way. A themed performance by Judith Boy will compellingly introduce visitors to the project, which will be documented photographically by Cataldo Miserendino.
Music – Plesen
On two evenings, the dawless electronic collective Plesen will perform. Plesen is a Berlin collective focused on electronic music and live performances. Through the use of synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, and effects, they create unique live sets. The diverse sound palette of the different artists ranges from deep listening ambient to hard techno. For the 48h Neukölln Festival, Plesen will focus on creating various electronic sound journeys for listening, moving, and being carried away.

Cataldo Miserendino, Photography
From the COLLECTIVE PLESEN, six different artists will perform at 48h Neukölln. Each comes from diverse backgrounds, ranging from classical music education and educational jobs to technical backgrounds and positions at major synthesizer companies. What they all share is a love for live electronics. They perform with synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, effects, and sometimes acoustic instruments. This results in unique live sets that allow for ample room for improvisation, making them influenced by both the space and the audience.
