This new publication presents the world of today's worker in a puzzle of poems, stories and short essays. The arc spans from the origins of the labour movement in the French Revolution of 1789 to the immediate present. The tone - optimistic, gripping, sober, sometimes slightly mocking, always exciting.
At the centre: Germany after reunification - the life and struggle of workers presented in stories ranging from love to strikes. Some of them are historically documented. And it is always important not to be depressed by capitalism and its effects.
Because that is the central theme of the book: change the world, as Brecht said,
it needs it. And you need it too.
