28 June 2025 19:00 – 29 June 2025 19:00
SASHA's Bureaucratic Apparatus 1 is a performative installation that replicates the rigid choreography of bureaucracy. This chance-driven machine, filled with manipulated forms, confronts the unpredictability inherent in administrative systems. Here, probability replaces the illusion of control, revealing how success is often a matter of luck. Through this work, SASHA dismantles the façade of agency and exposes the absurdity of bureaucracy by embedding its contradictions into play.

By reducing bureaucratic processes to a randomized mechanism, the installation highlights the detachment between official procedures and individual agency. The work transforms familiar symbols of authority into elements of unpredictability, emphasizing how systems designed to create order can instead foster confusion and exclusion. The audience will have the chance to become a part of the process, experiencing the frustration and futility of navigating an impersonal system governed by chance. In doing so, Bureaucratic Apparatus 1 reveals bureaucracy not as a tool of structure and fairness, but as an opaque, self-perpetuating cycle where power operates without accountability.
