Cecile

Cecile Pernilla's paintings are glimpses into her life. Through this selection, the artist enters into a dialogue with the environment and the self, which sheds light on deep-seated processes of perception, as well as the root of sensations and feelings. In the collages, photography and painting are interwoven with images from social media. Images of bodies are juxtaposed with abstract structures and fragments of idealized female figures. The self-reflexive artistic practice of deconstructing and reassembling reveals new perspectives on social roles. Cecile Pernilla lives and works in Berlin.
