While commuting to work every morning and evening, I came up with this series as I noticed the filter that separated me from the outside world during my tram rides. In Istanbul, where I live, people rush through the city, pushing each other to get to their destinations. As I observed the people waiting at the stations—the families, the foreigners, and the homeless—I realized how physically close we were yet how emotionally distant we remained. Looking through the glass window made it easier to see these social dots and forced me to become an observer. These dots break your visual view, and then you are forced to become an observer. Therefore, it leads to a different understanding of how to look at others' lives and the city.
