Paula Rathke, Charlotte Bergmann, Leo Schilz
27 June 2025 20:00 – 29 June 2025 23:00
We are showing a selection of works created for this exhibition, all dealing with the themes of Filters and image editing.
The works feature a mixture of Paintings and installations inviting the viewer to think about these topics in a sometimes comedic but at other times serious manner. We used Self-Portraits and mirrors to work with the Topics in very personal way.
As we are three Artist we have different approaches as well as experiences with image editing, this is reflected in the works and creates a conversational feeling in the works, this is mirroring our approach and creation this exhibition.

Biography
Paula Rathke, Charlotte Bergmann, Leo Schilz
We are a group of three young Artists,as this is our first collaborative work, we wanted to chose a topic which concerned all of us and like many people our age growing up with the internet and the beginning of smartphones, we experienced Image Editing and Filters and the effects it had on our self-perception.
In our collaboration we reflected on the personal affect and our interest in this topic and how to translate this into a body of work.
As all three of us are at different Positions and have different experiences, the work reflects this it shows our own way of confronting beauty standards and a mistrust in Images.
