ReflektorTV
COP5000, Michał Żak, Edyta Rogowska Żak, Reflektor Neukölln
27 June 2025 19:00 – 29 June 2025 19:00
From 27 June at 7 pm to 29 June at 7 pm, ReflektorTV will be broadcasting non-stop for 48 hours - from the neighbourhood, with the neighbourhood and for the neighbourhood. Streamed live on www.reflektortv.de, the ReflektorTV channel will present two full days of content created by local artists and residents.
Alongside established artists and journalists, newly trained community reporters will cover stories they believe matter to Neukölln, while others create satirical segments that playfully mix fact and fiction.
Local cafés and Spätis will be part of the broadcast, appearing in reports and serving as screening venues where neighbours can gather to watch the channel.
At the same time, the Reflektor Neukölln headquarters will transform into the official news hub of the ReflektorTV channel – WTF News. Parody and satire will take centre stage as the characters behind this fictional news organisation put their own spin on what’s considered newsworthy and shape the news throughout the festival.
A daily highlight is the satirical evening news show, Tagesschau-style, airing live at 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Developed by the theatre collective COP5000, artists Edyta Rogowska-Zak, Michal Zak, and the Reflektor Neukölln art association, ReflektorTV blurs the line between reality and performance and invites viewers to consider: does it matter what’s real, as long as it’s entertaining?
