A word, a sentence, or a quote, in its written form, is always more than just its meaning. It becomes a written image that goes beyond the mere content of what is said.

The "written images" presented here are quotes about truth and perception, reinterpreted through linocuts and graphic, experimental calligraphy.

The abstract representations of letters break away from traditional legibility and invite the viewer to look between the lines, thus questioning the perception of truth—because truth is difficult to put into words. Through the visual representation in experimental written images, a new perspective on the subjectivity of truth becomes tangible. The view of quotes from different eras and cultures becomes a journey of discovery, where every line, curve, and cut offers a new viewpoint on truth.
