Being an artist or cultural worker is already a stress test of life in itself.
Working to survive, working to enable the existence of art and culture. Studio rent, purchasing materials, creating time, planning a life. Defending oneself and one’s work, making it visible. Internal and external pressures compete with the urge and will to keep going.

Right now, external pressures are intensifying due to previously unpredictable developments: unimaginable cuts in cultural funding, the looming loss of studio spaces, the threat to one’s own work posed by AI trained on it, or the growing hostility in society towards people with a migration background. But the drive remains!
With the exhibition "stress test", we are seeking current artistic positions, works in progress, and states of being that show how and why, as a society, we cannot give in to the external threats facing art and culture.
