When my bones become flutes

Emilia Niezbecka

Barrierefreie Toilette
29 June 2025 15:00–19:00
What is the factual reality? Isn't our perception all we have to judge a reality outside of our being as true?
How can I understand the reality of my fellow human being? To do this, I have to become a pusher of my own boundaries: maybe I have to “let go” of something old in myself in order to be able to open up to something new? How can I do it when it takes so much effort and is so scary? And if there was a custom or ritual that would help one another overcome fears and create more trust in one another? Can a ritual become an exercise to develop more openness and curiosity within yourself?
The performer and the installation are partners and embody two different realities that gradually merge through sound. Through the ritual gestures and sounds, the multi-layered space of the ritual is created, the ritual that is both: a search for the other and for a new language. Volunteers are invited to help create the musical piece.
Duration: around 30 minutes
