Who am I when no one is watching? Is your perception of me real? Am I real? Is your reality my truth? What happens when I drop the masks of all my realities? Who am I then and do you still perceive me? Who am I when no one is watching?
Biography
julesroom
The artist herself describes her life as a world characterised by extreme highs and deep abysses.
Through art, she found a way to process the conflicts of her inner and outer life at a young age.
Caught in the contrast between worlds of light and shadow, art gave voice to her confused conglomerate of thoughts and feelings. Through her studies, she developed an extraordinary fascination for paper as a material. By means of meticulous precision, as well as curved lines and organic forms, she increasingly found her way into sculptural work. By working with paper, she has found a way for herself to come alive - a way to express her inner conflicts.
