Gemeinschaftsgarten Allmende Kontor e.V.

The Allmende-Kontor community garden on Tempelhofer Feld is valued by people of all ages and from many different countries for its creativity; it offers a place to relax, have a picnic and play areas for children, as well as daily access for environmental groups, researchers and anyone interested. Through a variety of sub-groups (e.g. bee, compost and dyeing bed groups) and workshops on plant dyeing, composting and ecological pest control, the garden is an open space for learning and networking that promotes intercultural cooperation. The project enables participatory, sustainable gardening, particularly for people without their own garden in the Neukölln district, and also inspires publications, research and further neighbourhood initiatives.
