We are a housing project at Richardplatz 8 that emerged from a squatter occupation in 1981 and has been self-organized as an association ever since. It is one of the many buildings that were occupied during those years of housing shortages, and one of the few in the area to still remain. Even today, in a neighborhood where housing costs are constantly rising, it stands as a symbol of self-determined living, free from profit motives.
Our community brings together people with different stories and lives.
We are a community project located at Richardplatz 8, made up of children, artists, gardeners, craftspeople, activists, and many others. One of the liveliest spots is our garden, a gathering place hidden behind a wrought-iron gate that is often admired and photographed.
