In the lost 2.0 series, I combine overpainted templates from magazines and my own edited photographs. I photograph the resulting combinations again, mixing fiction and reality. At first glance, both look fictitious, but the backgrounds are sad reality.
These are my own photographs from the wintery Harz Mountains in 2021 and 2022, a Central European mountain landscape that is already severely affected by drought, storms and other consequences of climate change.
The works move in the border area between painting and photography
and deliberately play with the supposed objectivity of photography, which it has long since lost due to digital processing options and AI.
