Biography

Merle Thordis

Merle Thordis enlivens the interdisciplinary field of music and movement and works as a freelance artist in the field of dance, music/vocal, performance, choreography and pedagogy in Berlin and Osnabrück. They studied eurhythmics/music and movement (B.A.) at the University of the Arts Berlin and at the Academy for Music and Dance in Jerusalem. Currently Merle studies Jazz vocals at the Institute of Music in Osnabrück.
With regular participation in lessons and workshops, e.g. with Meredith Monk, Xavier LeRoy, Itibere Zwarg or Katharine Sehnert, they continue to work on their own artistic language.
Since 1998 Merle has been performing dance, music, in theater video projects.
In collaboration with other international artists they regularly develops creations in the transdisciplinary field.
