In this explanatory video installation by Kay Kastner, the artist introduces the Polymedial Ponyhof and its projects. In an elaborate performance, the Diary Slam, the AI workshops, and, last but not least, the third part of the Nackt production are teased. In this segment, video artist Kay Kastner once again explores the theme of nudity on a very personal level. Thanks to the cleverly arranged projectors and projection surfaces, this video work takes on a live character, making it more of a video performance than an installation.
Biography
Kay Kastner
Kay Kastner (*1974) studied film and television studies, theater studies, and art history in Leipzig, Liverpool, and Bochum, receiving his master's degree in 2004. While still a student, he worked as a cameraman and video technician at the Ruhrtriennale and Schauspielhaus Bochum under artistic director Matthias Hartmann. During this time, he also produced short films for numerous festivals, winning multiple awards. Since then, Kay Kastner has worked freelance in Berlin for various television production companies (South & Browse, Inflagranti, Weltruf). Since 2009, he has also run the Polymedialer Ponyhof arts and culture venue, which presents not only his own productions. Kay Kastner is passionate about AI and completed a TÜV Rheinland-certified AI trainer course in 2025.
