For artists, their studios are their retreat. The secret place where things are tried out, thought up and made that are later shown in a museum, a gallery or some other public space. For us 30 artists, Hobrechtstraße 31 is such a secret place. Now we are under threat, the Senate not only doesn't want to create any additional studio spaces, but is also reducing the number of existing studios despite other claims. We have to fight! That's why we're doing this in a more unusual way and showing our secret places. We invite you to open studios at Hobrecht31. There will also be a performance and music program with a cleaning robot ballet and the Cottbusser Chor, bar & DJs

The studio house on Hobrechtstraße has existed for 26 years and provides workspace for around 30 artists. It is one of the oldest buildings in Berlin’s studio program.
