A record player made of chocolate

Kay Kastner (*1974) studied film and television studies, theater studies, and art history in Leipzig, Liverpool, and Bochum, receiving his master's degree in 2004. While still a student, he worked as a cameraman and video technician at the Ruhrtriennale and Schauspielhaus Bochum under artistic director Matthias Hartmann. During this time, he also produced short films for numerous festivals, winning multiple awards. Since then, Kay Kastner has worked freelance in Berlin for various television production companies (South & Browse, Inflagranti, Weltruf). Since 2009, he has also run the Polymedialer Ponyhof arts and culture venue, which presents not only his own productions. Kay Kastner is passionate about AI and completed a TÜV Rheinland-certified AI trainer course in 2025.
