It's rumbling.
Someone has said something, someone has heard something, someone thinks they have seen someone, someone thinks they have recognized someone in someone, they have heard of. Someone thinks they know him and have heard of him, but it should remain between them, they should not pass it on.
Isn't it strange? No one would behave like that?
Have you heard it?
Do you believe it? Have you seen it? Are you surprised?
Shout. Noise. Roar.
A rumor is going round and spreads.
Is it true?
They are talking behind your back? They are framing you. Spinning the gossip from mouth to ear. The creator of the rumor cannot be made out, the person is untraceable.
Have you heard it? Do you know it? Have you seen it?
A rumor appears, is attached to you, haunts you, pushes you into a tight corner.
The rumor is spread, it goes around, circulates, and more rumors surround it. You are declared a notorious person. A look, a word, a step, a click.
A rumor can cause social exclusion, threats and character assassination. It is usually the direct confrontation that is missing. What opportunities exist to revise, stop and counter a rumor based on what has been told? You can interrupt and challenge the narrative. You can create another story. Many rumors are self-defeating due to their contradictory statements. What narrative possibilities exist for uncovering a rumor?
In the characteristic backyard of the endorphina Backkunst, rumores will interact with the audience in a scenic reading. Smells, textures and materials will become co-actors of the rumors.
