Lynes multi technical work at 48 hours is a temporary interaction at a pizza place.
The artist defines her installation as a narrative at mid-way from a personal diary and an observation notebook. Between urban and domestic space, intimate and public, personal and collective. This installation evokes a confusing dimension where differents layers of perceptions coexist.
In the project the use of cast and molding technique on Neukoellns architecture is a way to directly integrate fragments of the city into sculptural forms, in plaster, metal or resin. By this process, pieces of concrete reality can get new status in another imaginary dimension.
Though her practice, the artist combines different elements from her visual landscape to create new narratives in order to reveal the extraordinary aspect of everyday life. Her works explore the tension between personal memories and the collective memory, both shaped by "mainstream culture." Her artistic practice navigate the confusion between reality and perception, using and associating trivial elements in new imaginary contexts to highlight the sensitive and poetic aspect hidden behind the randomness of their appearance.
The subject of feelings is generally important in Lyne's approach. She is questioning the notion of affect she have for archetypal forms most of the time coming from a capitalist dynamic. The tittle «salted heart» is at first a brand of chip’s the artist is used to buy in her daily life. She decided to use this label for the sentimental dimension it makes reference to. Between dream and reality, it makes reference to a sweet disillusion.
