With one foot in the synthesizer and the other in a book of poetry, Von Ponski bring sonic storytelling and danceable depth to Neukölln. Blending elements of electronica, spoken word, and indie pop, they tell tales of shattered dreams, digital dystopias, and the tender rebellion of everyday life.
The band moves somewhere between performance and concert, between beats and meaning. Their shows are a pulsating mix of musical experimentation and political statement – always surprising, always moving, never trivial.
Von Ponski are not a conventional band, but rather a collective of musicians, wordsmiths, and boundary-crossers. At 48h Neukölln, they invite the audience to join them on a sonic journey – to a place where poetry and basslines shake hands.
Come for the sound – stay for the sentiment.
At the center is the interplay of two voices: vocalist Susa, whose clear voice oscillates between fragility and strength, with synth sounds drifting like fog through the set, and singer-guitarist André, whose lyrics shift between everyday observations and social reflection. Together, they weave a lyrical and musical tension that leaves space – for rage, warmth, and transformation.
Lead guitarist Jack brings a touch of psychedelia and art rock into the mix, while bassist Alexander lays down a deep, grooving foundation. Drummer Viet holds it all together – sometimes driving, sometimes shimmering – but always on point. The result: a sound somewhere between post-pop, indie, electronica, and a dash of noir – yet entirely their own.
Von Ponski don’t just play songs – they create atmospheres. Their concerts are both invitation and challenge: to listen, to reflect, to drift away. Between political undertones and personal snapshots, a musical world emerges that’s constantly shifting – and always hits home.
