A warm invitation to a three-day event featuring performances and other spontaneous activities. The Neon Kunst project space will once again open its doors for 48 Hours Neukölln and present new works by WER DA and friends.
Biography
WER DA and friends
Berlin-based artists David Braithwaite and Werner Kernebeck have been working together under the name WER DA since 2014. Inspired by pre-Christian European traditions, they design costumes and perform as creatures. Unlike their ancestors, they use found, man-made materials, playfully and instinctively connecting with their roots and conjuring the spirits of today's world. They develop sculptures and complex spatial installations and collaborate with artist friends. The boundaries are fluid; gut feeling is key.
