WIRWIR

WIRWIR is located in the Neukölln Harzer neighbourhood and was founded in 2021 by April Gertler and Adrian Schiesser. WIRWIR focuses on the exchange of ideas and experiences with a wide range of artists and non-artists.
WIRWIR experiments with a variety of formats, such as a repair café, interactive performances around the theme of care, as well as collecting wild plants and making ink. Our approach often includes food, performance and workshops as a means of sharing. We are working to break down the traditional hierarchies of an exhibition space and in the long term, as an alternative platform, we want to encourage dialogue around an expanded notion of art by consistently moving beyond the purely visual consumption of artworks.
