A vibrant Convergence of Sound, Heritage, and Futurism
Shigara and Hogir Goregen
3 July 2026 20:00–22:00
Brazilian electronic artist Shigara and Berlin based percussion virtuoso Hogir Göregen have joined forces for a unique five-city tour across Brazil. This unprecedented live collaboration merges the seductive pulse of contemporary Brazilian electronic music with the ancient rhythms of Anatolian and Middle Eastern percussion, offering audiences an unforgettable experience.
Hailing from Belo Horizonte, Shigara is a dynamic force in Brazil’s underground scene—known for genre-blurring sets that weave together Afro-Latin beats, deep basslines, and a queer, expressive energy. As a key figure in collectives such as HORNY, Baile, and Veludo Festival, Shigara brings a bold vision of dance music rooted in resistance, celebration, and body politics.
Joining them is Hogir Göregen, a master percussionist originally from Bitlis/Tatvan, Kurdistan, now based in Berlin. Trained in instruments such as the darbuka, daf, davul, and tabla, Hogir’s performances are deeply immersive, tracing the cultural migrations of rhythm from Mesopotamia to contemporary global stages.
Together, they create a hybrid live show where modular grooves meet ancient pulses, transforming dance floors into ceremonial spaces.
