Even if everything is communicated with collective effort, tolerance, and dedication, will it be enough to pass through the digital filter and find an answer?
The answers to this question are sought through an interactive experience involving spectators who speak different languages. Using a viral poem written by a seven-year-old from Turkiye as a starting point, we invite the audience to participate in a silent cinema game to retell it.
Will the audience’s interpretations, tones, and perceptions help two bodies find out if they are a cake or a two—or if everything is a lie? Passing through the perception filter of our virtual customer hotline operator to reach the spokesperson of reality, will the message lead us to the truth, or will it spiral into an endless loop until the line is busy and the workday is over?
Exploring where perception and reality stand in the digital age, we ask: What language does understanding speak as we attempt to find the meanings behind a child's simple yet profound existential questions?
The show consists of multiple 30–40 minute sessions spread over a two-hour period.
