Ansichtssache (A Matter of Perspective)

Windows are the eyes of our homes. They face outwards, dressing the faces of our streets. But what they reveal depends entirely on your perspective. In a polarised world where we often retreat behind screens and certainties, “Ansichtssache” (A Matter of Perspective) offers a different kind of lens. The Neukölln collective E.V. (Einfach Vorbeikommen) turns a ground-floor window on Böhmische Straße into a hybrid portal where the view goes both ways.
This curation is a dialogue between two worlds: a music program and a visual installation within the apartment itself. By utilizing the Erdgeschoss, we bypass the traditional barriers of the art world. There are no tickets or door (policies); the window is a screen into a private world, accessible to anyone passing by or stopping in on purpose. This project is a celebration of the porous boundary between living and public life. It’s an invitation to see a residential room as a living, breathing canvas of light and sound. Proving that, ultimately, everything is a matter of perspective.
