Theatre of the Mad presents its work with Forum Theatre

The “Theatre of the Mad” is a creative theatre group that takes action against discrimination, stigmatisation and oppression of adults who have experienced crisis. We use our own problems and conflicts as material and, through scenes we have developed ourselves, ask ourselves and our audience about possibilities for change. Ideas for how to shape these scenes can be tried out immediately. The whole thing is called ‘Forum Theatre’. This forms part of the repertoire of the ‘Theatre of the Oppressed’ developed by the Brazilian theatre practitioner Augusto Boal.
