Bierhaus Sunrise

The Sunrise Beer House is a classic Neukölln neighborhood pub and a daily social gathering place. Shaped by its regulars, as well as the owner Mario and his partner Conny—the heart and soul of the place—it creates a familiar, informal space for people to come together.

The living room is conceived as a mobile spatial concept that emerges at the threshold between inside and outside—in the entrance area, inside the space, or, if possible, right outside the door. The setup adapts to the conditions on site and makes the transitions between private, semi-public, and public spaces tangible. In this way, the pub is temporarily expanded to include an open gathering space.
