PASSAGE is an independent curatorial platform founded in May 2024 with an exhibition space inside Hermannplatz U-Bahn station. Inspired by Lucio Amelio’s Pièce Unique, it places contemporary art directly in public space, using the U7 platform as a site-specific medium.
To date, PASSAGE has realized 25 solo and 2 group exhibitions, collaborating with 54 artists and 18 international galleries. What began as a subway intervention is evolving into an international platform presenting art in unexpected places.
PASSAGE operates independently and without representation, developing each exhibition in close dialogue with artists. Its core idea is simple: put art in the street—accessible, responsive to its surroundings, and encountered in everyday life.
