In the Eco AI Lab, we present how AI can be used sustainably for environmental protection. For example, using the ‘BirdNet Pi’ project, an AI model that classifies bird calls and can be set up locally on a small computer. Our comic ‘Seegurke sucht Seegraswiese’ discusses the topic of sustainable AI. The non-binary sea cucumber questions where sustainability should be considered in the AI development process. The comic is printed on large lorry tarpaulins and invites reflection in our workshop. Another artistic project is our talking tree Citronella. Trees speak an ancient language that we have now forgotten how to understand. With the help of AI and environmental data, in this artistic approach we are trying to make the relationship between humans and nature the subject of discussion about how we want to live in the future. On Sunday, you can immerse yourself in a virtual underwater world: With NABU's VR goggles, you can experience the Baltic Sea in a deceptively real way. Using the innovative ‘Authentic VR’ technology, users can control the ‘dive’ through the Baltic Sea with their own eyes.
