In a world where reality and perception are increasingly entangled, my work delves into the hidden layers of human emotions. In our society, we are often encouraged to not show our vulnerabilities, fears, insecurities, and sadness, in favor of positivity and the glow of fake perfection. This creates an internal tension, obscuring and depreciating our authentic experiences. If we cannot accept the full spectrum of our emotions, how can we open our hearts to heal?
Through light and shadow, these wall sculptures reflect my thoughts, memories, and dreams as fragments of a single process where boundaries between them are blurred. It prompts the question: What emotions do I try to hide and suppress? By expressing my true feelings, I aim to release the pressure and create a space for understanding and empathy.
In a world overwhelmed by a never-ending flow of information and expectations, it is more important than ever to take a step back from the noise, pause in silence, and listen to ourselves. Am I moving in the direction I truly want, or am I disoriented by the goals and expectations of others?
These works serve as mirrors, reflecting both my own story and each individual’s unique experiences and feelings. Clay is the medium through which I best communicate this message. It has volume and flexibility, constantly changing throughout the process, yet when dry, it becomes a memory of the past.
