Truth is a negotiation. Each story contains a hundred other stories: by sharing our words we create a new story in the mind of every person who hears it, or have strange perceptions laid over our most internal ideas. And by passing words between each other as artists, we create new opportunities to find our own truths within another’s perspective. Poetry transforms in real time, music shifts into narrative, and words (and their writers) find ways to escape their medium.
‘WTF Is This Thing That We’re Doing’ is a multi disciplinary and inter-reactive poetic installation and performance collaboration in which spoken words activate and augment lights, instruments affect layered videos in real time, and words morph into sounds which combine to create a multisensory conversation that transcends medium and explores what it means to really be here
‘re: This Thing We’re Doing’ is a collaboration between Crista Siglin, Hamza Mohammed Beg, Caitlin Boulter, Matthew Brooks, Gorjeoux Moon, and Marina Reza.
for the duration of the festival during the opening times of the gallery, there will be an interactive installation in which visitors are invited to engage with the sounds, lights and visuals.
on the friday and saturday evenings there will be live performances featuring the collective performers.
