Does it seem necessary to constantly break down the contours in order to remodel the construct, like a snail that dismantles its shell and reconstructs itself on an ice floe? Like millions of hairs standing on end in conflict with the overwhelming noise level? An external position that begins to take root internally, yet waits too long for the bus again. The tension here lies between life in the big city, neurodiversity, and classism.

Biography

Carolin Hagelberg

Carolin Hagelberg (born in 1986 in Winsen/Luhe) is an artist and author living in Berlin. In her interdisciplinary, conceptual work, she examines human behavior patterns, social structures, and gender roles, questions contemporary phenomena, and enters different social milieus. She works primarily in drawing and poetry, but her oeuvre also includes photography, plastic arts, and video work. Her work is permeated with fragments of surrealism and comedy, and always contains a “paradoxical pinch” of inner child and darkness. Her literary work has already been honored in Berlin and published and presented in various formats in Germany and abroad, in combination with graphics and photos.
