Anecdotal City Tours I

Jonas Rogge

4 July 2026 13:30–15:00
The neighbourhood is filled with our stories.
The Anecdotal City Tours invite you to listen to the stories of Neukölln – or to bring your own stories along!
In the format of a classic city tour, people from the neighborhood share their anecdotes and their personal perspective on the city.

For the audience: Just join us at the starting point.

For potential guides:
Think of around three to five anecdotes whose locations can be linked together to form a walk of about an hour. We’ll meet at the Open Tiny Kiosk at 84 Treptower Straße. Here the audience will be split in groups. The tours should lead back to the starting point, where everyone is invited to share their experiences from the tour.
The stories can certainly be mundane!
As well as exploring whose stories we consider worth telling, the tours are also intended to encourage reflection on the nature of face-to-face engagement. How does it feel to share our personal stories with a real audience?

If you’d like to lead a tour yourself, please email anekdoten48@posteo.de in advance.
This isn’t about picking and choosing; we just want to be able to plan ahead.

Language, Discrimination & Consideration
Language should not be a barrier where possible. If you do not wish to tell your anecdote in German, we will try to find a translator or suitable groups.
There are no limits on the topics of the anecdotes. However, it is important that everyone feels safe during the tours and that you do not use discriminatory language.
If a story deals with emotionally distressing experiences, such as violence, please let us know in advance so that we can look out for one another.
