Biography
Serafima Bresler, Angelina Bresler (Kalachenkova)
We are Serafima and Angelina Bresler/Kalachenkova, sisters and artists based in Hamburg and Berlin. In our collaborative projects, we explore shared experiences as a starting point for new works and dialogues, connecting our common history with our individual artistic perspectives.
We have realized several installations addressing memory, migration, and family archives, including Have a Nice Trip! (ICAT Hamburg, 2022; Pushkin House London, 2024) and My Moon (Gruppe Motto, Hamburg, 2023). We develop our works through different media approaches: Serafima works with printmaking and video, while Angelina works with sound and music, drawing on her background in piano performance.
