Traumalayers

The project "Trauma Layers" illuminates the thin layers between our self and its projection outward, i.e. between the external world and its reflection into our (conscious or subconscious) being, which significantly shape our perception.

These layers, formed by intense experiences, overlap and filter what and how we see as well as our judgment. They thus decisively determine our view of the world and of ourselves.

These trauma layers may manifest differently for each person. For me personally, they consist of real images to which I gain access in my dreams or through meditation. Within the "Trauma Layers" project, I will visualize these images, and their defining influence on my personal perception, through painting.
