The video installation "Iso-liiert" (German wordplay meaning "alone together") addresses the complexity and contradictions behind the mechanisms of social isolation. Our artwork is a social-activist investigation, a transdisciplinary collaboration and an experimental film. Different voices will co-exist in this video installation, which blurs the lines between proximity and distance, centre and periphery.

The starting point for "Iso-liiert" was the question of how to define the off-sides of society, as isolation is a state familiar to many of us- whether deliberate, coerced, economic, social, geographical or mental. Our late-modern times are characterized by schisms and fragmentation, but we are barely aware of its consequences and manifestations.

Methodologically, we dedicate ourselves to the artistic process through experimental, partially performative, interviews. Our artistic focus is not just set on the interview contents, but also on the process-oriented connections that we want to establish with our partners. That's why we organised different gatherings and activities with the Signal funding, which we hope will be remembered by us and our partners for a long time to come.
