Highlights

This year, we have put together an exciting program of highlights for you. Let's open the festival together in the Berliner Berg brewery, then stroll through the curated exhibition in the Kesselhaus or go on a voyage of discovery in the former C&A building.

There's something for everyone. If you're looking for an “possibility of silence” in the hustle and bustle of the city, our literary event at Heimathafen is just right for you, and if you want to design something yourself, you can get creative in our jersey workshop.

And on Sunday, we look forward to visitors, artists, the 48 Stunden team and all cooperation partners coming together to celebrate this year's festival edition at the closing party.

  • The opening ceremony

    The opening ceremony will take place on the grounds of the Berliner Berg brewery. After the official part, Ain TheMachine and Mūna will ensure a good mood with their DJ sets. 

  • circles, squares, corners, moments, for 48 hours

    The exhibition circles, squares, corners, moments, for 48 hours will open at 7 pm on Friday, 28.06.24. There will be three curatorial guided tours in three languages (German, English and Turkish) until 7pm on Sunday. The exhibition examines the interconnections between people, cities and their noise.

  • Possibility of Silence

    In the literary event Marcin Dymiter, Sieglinde Geisel, Raphael Koranda and Katja Petrovskaja, moderated by Karolina Golimowska, will discuss their understanding of silence, its role in discourses on the present and the cultural and political consequences of its absence or presence. Following the discussion, Marcin Dymiter will play a soundscape set.

     In the art program in the former C&A building, the CANK, we are showing different artistic positions on four floors of the former department store that have dealt with the topic of urban silence.

    On Saturday, we invite children and young people to our creative jersey workshop called Urbane Kicker on the football pitch, which is organized as part of the UEFA Football Culture Summer 2024.
