Potentiality, acceptability, accessibility. Utopia, reality, transience, tactility. Silence as an Arcadian dream, an aspiration with no chance of attainment. As a remedy for an age of excess. As an apprehension, an admission, a mindfulness fetish. Desirable and impossible.
Silence challenges us to answer many questions, it is itself a question.
With our guests, we will talk about their understanding of silence, its role both in discourses about the present and the cultural and political consequences of its absence or presence.
